According to a recent Pew Research Center report*, nearly 50% of Americans aged 40-59 are providing financial support for their adult children, and 20% are providing financial assistance or care for an aging parent. The Baby Boomer generation (born between the years of 1946 and 1965) numbers around 80 million and represents approximately 25% of the U.S. population.
